Colorado Heights: My First Climb

"You don’t need to feel ready—just brave enough to start."

I had no training. No practice wall. No plan.

Just a mountain, a harness, and a whole lot of adrenaline.

Colorado was never on the agenda for something like this—at least not that day. But sometimes life doesn’t wait for you to be ready. It throws you straight into the deep end—or in this case, straight up a cliff.

My hands were shaking, my heart was racing, and everything in me whispered “you can’t.” But then came this one voice—steady, calm, a friend I trust saying,
“You’re gonna be fine.”

So I climbed.

No second thoughts.
No turning back.
Just the rock in front of me, rough and real, and the wind in my ears like nature cheering me on.

Step by step, grip by grip, something shifted. Fear didn’t vanish—it transformed. Into focus. Into fire. Each hold was a conversation with myself, each push a lesson in letting go of doubt.

And then… the top.
The view didn’t just take my breath—it gave it back. Stronger. Lighter. Clearer.
Because reaching that peak wasn’t just about proving I could—it was a reminder to go all in on life, even when you’re unsure, unready, uncomfortable.

Sometimes, you don’t need a plan.
You just need courage.
And one good friend who believes in you.
